As many will know, the Writers Guild of America has been on strike since May, and actors who are members of SAG-AFTRA who work under the union’s film and TV contract with companies that belong to the AMPTP, also recently joined the strike.

We’ll spare the strike details (but you can read about that here), but one question we have is how will the strike affect Colin Trevorrow’s upcoming Atlantis movie?

It was reported in February of this year that the movie had moved from Universal Pictures to Skydance and that Charmaine DeGraté, a writer and co-executive producer on HBO’s House of the Dragon, had joined the project. We also learned that Colin Trevorrow will produce via his Metronome Film Company alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger for Skydance.

While no specifics have been discussed relating to Atlantis, we haven’t received an update on the movie in quite some time. Naturally, the movie will be delayed along with a wealth of projects that were in the writing and development stages.

We will await further news and will report as soon as we hear.

What can you do in the meantime? There are a number of great movies that are set in the mythical world of Atlantis, and it might be time to look into some documentaries on the subject.
